Embroidery and Badging
FRS are very experienced at personalising your garments. We can embroider, screen print or apply heat transfers to virtually any item. This is particularly popular with businesses who wish to promote their logo and corporate image and for sporting teams. We are frequently being asked for personalised garments for smaller groups for holidays, Stag nights, hen nights and even Birthday parties.

By its very nature, personalistion is unique and it is difficult for us to provide prices without knowing the intricacies of the job in question. We have provided a rough guideline below to give you an idea of what to expect. If you are undecided about what personalistion you require, give us a call and we can give you some ideas and even design you a logo - for free!
Embroidery
Embroidery is priced according to the number of stitches in the design - the more stitches, the greater the cost. The first step is to determine if the will be any set-up costs. If your logo contains an image or an unusual font it will require the creation of a jacquard. A jacquard is a computer program that tells the embroidery machines where to stitch and what thread to use. We can digitise most image formats to create a jacquard, and costs vary between £20.00 and £100.00 + VAT, depending on the number of stitches. A typical jacquard cost is £35.00. If your personalisation is simply standard text we can create text jacquards 'on the fly' and there is no set-up cost. We usually charge £2.50 + VAT per garment to embroider standard (up to 10mm) text.
When you've determined if you will have any set-up costs, the next step is the cost per embroidery. Again, this depends on the number of stitches in the design and varies between £1.50 and £5.00 + VAT, with a typical cost of about £2.50. Why not contact us for a quote?
SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing is suitable only when you have a relatively large number of items to be badged and where each item is to have the same logo. We usually recommend that screen printing is not cost effective for runs of less than 30 garments. Printing will involve the creation of a screen for each colour in the logo at a cost of around £25.00 + VAT per screen. Each colour is printed in turn until the logo is complete. HEATSEAL TRANSFERS
Heatseal transfers are badges that are applied to the garment by a machine which applies heat and pressure until the transfer fuses with the fabric. It is NOT the same as the 'do it yourself' iron on badges. This method is most suitable for badging where a large logo is required, such as a name or number on the back of a footballers shirt. It also has the advantage over screen printing that small runs can easily be printed. Prices depend on the size and number of colours but a typical print such as a name across the back of a shirt (like a footballer has) is about £2.50 + VAT.
