You will find though that your feet will feel the cold in these styles in the depths of winter, particularly if the weather is anything like recent winters!  This can be overcome with extra socks or, even better, with Hunter Fleece Welly Socks that are designed for this very purpose.  If you use wellies a lot in the winter, and really suffer with cold feet, we would strongly recommend you invest in some neoprene lined wellies.

The most popular style of Hunter welly is definitely the Original and in recent years Black has been the biggest selling colour by far.  However, the colour range is now huge and includes bright pinks, reds and yellows, as well as the traditional dark green and blue.  The Original Gloss offers even more colours - it is exactly the same boot as the original but comes in some beautiful colours and with a stunning high gloss finish.

One complaint some people make about Hunter wellies is that are too narrow in the calf - and this is undoubtedly true.  The Original and Original Gloss do tend to suit people with a long slim calf.  All is not lost for those who do not fit this category though.  The Original Adjustable offers a gusseted leg which can open up for a wider calf.  For women, another alternative is the Huntress which is slightly shorter and wider than the original and now comes in some great colours as well.
